Arch Mannings future with Texas

By John Brown Dec-16-2025

Longhorns QB Arch Manning reportedly returning to Texas in 2026. Arch could have declared for the draft following his redshirt sophomore season, “Arch is playing football at Texas next year.” a quote from Cooper Manning. Texas coach Steve Sarkisian was quoted saying “He’s a young man who’s gotten better as the seasons gone on, and not only physical, but mentally, maturity-wise, I would think he’s going to want another year of that growth to put himself in position for hopefully a long career in the NFL.” “We had a really good football season. We left some meat on the bone with an opportunity to be SEC champs, national champs, and so ultimately for him, I think the competitor in him is going to say ‘Man, I sure would like another crack at trying to do those things’”

Manning has solidified his role as Texas’s QB1, finishing 2025 with 2,942 yards, 24 passing touchdowns, 7 interceptions, and 244 rushing yards with 8 rushing touchdowns over 12 games. Reports state Manning potential to have No.1 overall projections.
