Alabama hits Oklahoma with the uno-reverse, with a “walk in yo trap takeover yo trap” mentality led by Ty Simpson who went 18/29 for 232 yards, 2 touchdowns, and 0 interceptions. Simpson finished with a QBR of 80.3. Alabamas defense got to Mateer a total of 5 times and ran an interception back for a touchdown.

Oklahoma wasn’t lacking on defense with 4 sacks and and 7 tackles for loss. John Mateer finished with 2 touchdowns and a QBR of 73.4.

Multiple field goal misses and inability to finish drives gave Alabama opportunity late in the game to pull away.
