Line -6.5 Georgia

Kiffin-less Ole Miss steamrolls Tulane, 41-10, quarterback Trinidad Chambliss went 23/29 for 282 yards for a QBR of 93.3 and 1 passing touchdown. Chambliss was able to find the end zone twice on his feet rushing 6 times for 36 yards. Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy ran his first touch of the ball 20 yards for a touchdown on the Rebels first drive. Ole Miss Defense pressured Tulane’s QB Jake Retzlaff on Tulane’s first drive resulting in an interception by Ole Miss CB Jaylon Braxton, the Rebels defense had multiple fumble recoveries and 4th down stops.

Tulane coach Jon Sumrall’s hopes to compete in the New Orleans Sugar Bowl is snuffed with the loss to Ole Miss and leaves Tulane with a playoff push and will take over at the University of Florida in 2026.

Georgia should be plenty rested since their last game being the victory against Alabama in the SEC Championship Game. This round last year Georgia was unable to overcome Notre Dame, Georgia Quarterback Gunner Stockton is the only quarterback in the playoff feild to have started a playoff game.

My Predictions:

Georgias late season has not been the most dominant with an offense that is slow to get started and defensively inconsistent at pressuring quarterbacks and tackling, despite these flaws the Bulldogs have had no problem moving the ball. I don’t see this game going any differently than the mid season matchup between these teams, Gunner Stockton passing for 289yards and 4 touchdowns, Georgia came back in the 2nd half beating Ole Miss 43-35. Ole Miss does look more matured physicality wise than they did in their previous meeting with Georgia. I Believe this will be a closer game than the -6.5 line Georgia currently carries.
