Oregon with a 3-0 record against the Red Raiders, will be looking to extend that streak. Oregon comes off their tuneup up game against JMU, whereas Texas Tech has rested since clenching a playoff spot in their victory over BYU in the Big 12 Championship Game.

With the nations top rushing defense, Texas Tech has allowed only 68.5 yards per. Linebacker Jacob Rodriguez who we discussed in the previous the Big 12 Championship, finished 5th in Heisman voting this year. The Red Raiders rank 1st in takeaways with 31 and 3rd in scoring defense allowing an average of 10.9 PPG.

Oregon’s offense ranks in the top 10 in scoring with an average of 39.2 PPG. Per reports, Dante Moore would be a top pick in the 2026 draft leaving an open door for the many Quarterbacks currently sitting in the portal. Moore has a completion percentage of 72.4% for 3,046 yards and 28 passing touchdowns with 8 interceptions. Moore also set an Oregon record for single-game completion percentage with 90% against Minnesota.

Texas Tech’s quarterback Behren Morton despite multiple injuries has passed for 2,643 yards for 22 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.

My Predictions:

I see this being a very close game with how good Texas Tech’s defense has been all year and the Oregon offense has no problem scoring. I take Oregon, but this will be the most entertaining matchup this round Texas Tech will be putting Oregon through hell to win.
