3x All Star 3rd Baseman for the Red Sox has signed with the Chicago Cubs for 5 years, $175 million with an estimated $70 million deferred. Bregman was brought in under a 3 year deal of $120 million with an opt out after the 1st year. Bregman played 114 games with the Sox batting 273, 18 homers, and 62 RBI.

The Sox final offer reportedly being 5-years, $165 million with heavy deferrals. This fumble by the Red Sox front office is not surprising to me, the waiting games played has historically not gone the way of fan hopes. The Red Sox are currently the only team that has not signed a free agent this offseason. Hoping and praying for a big move and less mismanagement the rest of this offseason. Spring training begins next month…
