Coach Freeman puts to rest any rumors regarding his plans for 2026 with a post on X.com stating “2026…run it back. Go Irish ☘️”.

With a quick turnaround of success at Notre Dame, Freeman’s name circulated around multiple coaching positions within the last few weeks. A head coach opening in the NFL with the New York Giants was reported as a possibility.

Marcus Freeman is 43-12 as head coach of the Fighting Irish, last year setting the program record of 14 wins and reaching the National Championship Game.
